Additional Information for Cycle Ride

Thinking of joining us for part of the ride?  Here's a useful checklist to work through to help you decide...

  • Got a road bike?
  • Want an excuse to get fit, whilst raising money for a good cause?
  • Need a challenge for 2017?
  • Would like to join us for a day of cycling or part of the route?

Answered yes to any of the above, then here's what we you need to do:

  • Please do train for this, 80 - 100 miles per day is a huge challenge
  • Please let us know what day / days you wish to join us
  • Please bring along any spare parts (a chain, wheel etc) you think you might need
  • Please make sure you have your own insurance
  • Please make sure you have back-up support
  • Lastly, please raise as much sponsorship as you can, and direct it towards our just giving page!

The team are aiming to cycle at an average pace of 15 mph for 7 hours each day, so if you aim to achieve this then it would be great to cycle together where we can. As a suggestion, it would also be advisable to make sure that you have cycled at least 80% of your daily challenge in a day prior to the event, just so as you dont get any nasty shocks!
